3) The welding material will not penetrate into the pipe hole.
4) It can replace threaded pipe fittings, so the risk of leakage is reduced.
5) Fillet welds are not suitable for radiographic inspection, so correct pipe fittings and welding are very important. Fillet welds are commonly used for surface inspection by magnetic particle inspection and penetrant inspection.
6) The construction cost is usually lower than the butt-welded joint. The reason is that there is no need to perform bevel group pairing and bevel prefabrication.
